Happy Halloween! [Hyvää pyhäinpäivää!]

Time to party! Niko is happy it's finally Halloween and he's put on a party at Jake's house for everyone to attend, decking out Jake's apartment in Halloween decorations, making it even more gothic and spooky than usual. Why not have a party at a vampire's house while travelling on tour? It would be fun. Niko had help from some of the other musicians and wanted to surprise Jake with his special costume which he got from a decent store. The Finn dressed in a rather fetching Viking wolf costume which he hoped Jake would like.

There is party food, drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, cakes, sweets and small trick or treat bags for people to take away food if they wanted back to the tour buses.

"Hyvää pyhäinpäivää!"

That translated into "Happy Halloween for the non Finnish speakers.

"Happy Halloween!"

Traditionally, Niko's country celebrated All Saint's Day by lighting candles and remembering the dead that way. Yet, he was here in America and wanted to join in with the customs of many of the others, including dressing up and having a party. As well as food, drink and costumes there is also pumpkin carving available outside the apartment with the pumpkins lined up for people to have a go at.

"Everyone is free to have food, booze, carve pumpkins, party and have fun!"

He had heard that Bjorn had hosted the last Halloween party in LA and this one would be even better, now that there were more people.

"A poker bet and they let me choose what I won." Oh, Rekker definitely had a cat that ate a canary smile. This was also about learning the dynamics between the three Sterling brothers, particularly the unending harassment between Robert and Rekker.

"I told them they have to wear their dress military uniforms from the morning of Halloween until tomorrow night." And he was going to love every minute of it. Tom was as much amused by this as Rekker, if he was honest. Tom was collateral damage to the real targets, Martyn and Robert. "Wait until Erik and Tordis show up."

And that sent him into another round of giggles that left him snorting and gasping for breath.

Dee sipped on his mocktail with continued interest. Was it just a matter of someone loving a man in uniform? There had to be something more to this to make Rekker this damn giddy.

"Okay... what's going to happen when Erik and Tordis get here?"

Rekker had to force the laughter to stop so he could answer. "They're both drunk and obsessed with authority.. like its a fetish for them."

Rekker shook his head. "The only way it could be better is if I could have forced Robert to wear his druid cloak over the uniform." Obviously, Rekker was in trouble with his brother. Robert's disapproving looks from across the room only had the red-head laughing more.

Dee snickered. "Oh, you absolute tease! That's great..."

Not that he wasn't above playing such tricks on his own fiancé, just to see him all hot and bothered.

"Now we wait." Rekker was sitting back, waiting for the two younger men to appear. He was also on the eye for Bjorn to show up so he could give him his birthday gift.

"How are you settling into touring?" Rekker asked just to have conversation while they waited to see the chaos.

This would be amusing to watch.

"Honestly, it's been a whirlwind..." he admitted, laughing a little. "It's demanding and exhausting, but in a way that makes me feel good at the end of the night..."

There was definitely one point in there where Dee was sure he'd blown it. But looking back on it, Tom's heavy-handed but light-touch approach had been the right call. As was making appointments with Martyn as mandatory as the ones with Minoru. Jay actually started seeing him first, and was getting a lot out of it too.

"Being back in our own bed last night felt... weird. Like it was way too quiet..."

"I feel the same most nights." Rekker nodded. "Sometimes the strange beds feel good but eventually all of us want to come home."

He could only imagine for the musicians who had been on the road for over a year. After a few moments Rekker nudged Dee to point out Erik and Tordis had just come in the room but hadn't noticed Robert or Martyn yet.

There was something to be said for lounging on a couch that wasn't backstage or soaking in a tub with the jets on instead of sitting on the plastic shower seat in a hotel bathroom.

"Anywhere Jay is feels like home." He smiled. "Even the back of a tour bus."

The little accessible suite Tom carved out for them back there may have unintentionally eased that transition a little too. It was a little more like a home away from home than the typical bunks.

Then Rekker nudged him.

"Oh!" He looked over toward the mummy and the unicorn. "Oh boy, one's already horny!"

"I understand that.. finally." Rekker said that with a deep breath. He still felt immense anxiety about losing Bjorn. He was so invested in that loud Swede and some days he worried more than others about what might happen if Bjorn left.

Luckily, his brothers were about to provide all the amusement he needed to keep the anxiety at least balanced with something positive. "You should have seen on his birthday. Bjorn and I, I got Robert this druid outfit and convinced him to put it on and Bjorn brought Erik in just after. I would have disintegrated if my brother's gaze produced as much heat as that look had."

Of course, Rekker didn't care and the mischief was likely to continue if Rekker could find more targets.

Dee watched as the man in uniform wrapped that mummy around his finger. This was highly entertaining, and he wasn't even the one that won the bet.

"Oh, Jay might have topped that the day I got that corset Trygg made... He couldn't get his fingers into my laces fast enough!"

Rekker was red in the cheeks from laughter. "Jay likes them? I agree, Bjorn looks good in a corset too. Robert can't stand being put in costumes or any of it and Erik is obsessed with it."

He just shook his head at the oldest Sterling. "With Martyn, he pretends to be this prim and proper doctor and I know he gets into all the wild stuff Tordis is into, but won't admit it."

Dee snickered as he watched the scene play out.

"Well, he might just like ME in them... Putting one on him didn't have anywhere near the same reaction."

They'd tried it, but despite Dee's best efforts, he just didn't have the strength to cinch a corset. It wasn't nearly as fun for either of them.

"...Martyn's into all that? Really?" He glanced back at Rekker with surprise. "I never would have guessed."

"I wouldn't want a corset." Rekker snorted a laugh at that and hoped Bjorn never got that idea in his head.

"I didn't either. You should hear Erik and Tordis when they're drunk. I've heard some things." Rekker thought it was hilarious. "Sex pillows and getting punished for being bad."

Rekker was back to giggling again. He found great pleasure in harassing his brothers.

"No?" Dee was still snickering. "Maybe Trygg just knows how to make a good one... but I didn't find it uncomfortable at all."

Honestly, even if he did, Jay's reaction still topped what was currently coming out of Erik and Tordis as they fawned over Robert and Martyn. So, that said a lot.

"Okay, so why Tom? Just collateral damage?"

"I'm not a feminine guy." Rekker mentioned and then rolled his eyes. "It would probably give me a panic attack even if I did want one."

Rekker had some sensory issues and the idea of something compressing his chest felt.. wrong.

"He agreed with them." So.. yes, collateral damage. "I wonder what his wife thinks of his uniform?"

Rekker had no idea. Maybe she like uniforms too.

Dee definitely wouldn't push the topic. He had more than his fair share of triggers. Restricted motion was something that could easily be problematic under the wrong circumstances.

"He met Aletayria while he was an astronaut, right? She must have taking a liking to him in uniform..." Dee mused.

Rekker paused for a long time because that was a complicated question that he had to be careful with.

"I think the first time she saw him he was on a mission." Rekker thought that was safe enough comment. "There's a difference between thinking someone looks nice in something and getting turned on by it because it's a fetish."

"All right, all right, I won't presume to judge..." he lifted his hands up. "Especially not our tour manager's wife."

No sense opening a can of worms like that. Even though he had absolutely no idea the kind of extraterrestrial worms that were sitting in that particular (tin) can.

Rekker had no qualms about harassing Tom though.

"If anything, I'd think they have a kink for intelligence." Rekker pondered that and decided not to drag Ivar into this mess. He had a firm belief that drummer had a kink for intelligence too. A couple others as well, maybe.

"I could believe that." He agreed, sipping again on the mocktail. It was really good.

Ivar had slept with Isamu. More than once. That boy had to have a kink for brains. And speaking of Isamu, he was wandering around somewhere under an umbrella draped with little LED lights and strips of crepe paper, having come as an aequorea victoria.

Rekker had a lot of practice making non-alcoholic drinks and could replicate most common cocktails at this point. He was about to speak and then heard the screaming. However, he knew it wasn't Bjorn, not high pitched enough. However, he looked over to see Isamu getting a near tackle hug from Aarne. That was Isamu's fault for not visiting for so long.

"The crazy is arriving." Rekker started to laugh. "Have you met everyone?"

Dee looked over at the high-pitched squeal.

"I thought I did... but I saw Minoru already. He said for the last week he was coming dressed as one of us." By which he meant a rock star - but with his wild hair, he looked exactly like Aarne, and Aarne only helped make that happen. "So, who's that?"

"Who is who?" Rekker looked around at the busy room and then wondered if Dee had somehow been spared meeting Aarne and Joe. That felt unreasonable but then, Dee was calm. Maybe he avoided it.

Dee pointed as a jellyfish umbrella went flying over people's heads. "The one Aarne just tackled to the ground in a massive hug."

"Oh, that's Minoru's twin." Rekker thought it was funny how he got tackled. "He hasn't been around for awhile."

And obviously the Finn had missed him. The way Aarne could dive around with antlers on and not put out an eye was impressive though.
