Happy Halloween! [Hyvää pyhäinpäivää!]

Time to party! Niko is happy it's finally Halloween and he's put on a party at Jake's house for everyone to attend, decking out Jake's apartment in Halloween decorations, making it even more gothic and spooky than usual. Why not have a party at a vampire's house while travelling on tour? It would be fun. Niko had help from some of the other musicians and wanted to surprise Jake with his special costume which he got from a decent store. The Finn dressed in a rather fetching Viking wolf costume which he hoped Jake would like.

There is party food, drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, cakes, sweets and small trick or treat bags for people to take away food if they wanted back to the tour buses.

"Hyvää pyhäinpäivää!"

That translated into "Happy Halloween for the non Finnish speakers.

"Happy Halloween!"

Traditionally, Niko's country celebrated All Saint's Day by lighting candles and remembering the dead that way. Yet, he was here in America and wanted to join in with the customs of many of the others, including dressing up and having a party. As well as food, drink and costumes there is also pumpkin carving available outside the apartment with the pumpkins lined up for people to have a go at.

"Everyone is free to have food, booze, carve pumpkins, party and have fun!"

He had heard that Bjorn had hosted the last Halloween party in LA and this one would be even better, now that there were more people.

"Who is who?" Rekker looked around at the busy room and then wondered if Dee had somehow been spared meeting Aarne and Joe. That felt unreasonable but then, Dee was calm. Maybe he avoided it.

Dee pointed as a jellyfish umbrella went flying over people's heads. "The one Aarne just tackled to the ground in a massive hug."

"Oh, that's Minoru's twin." Rekker thought it was funny how he got tackled. "He hasn't been around for awhile."

And obviously the Finn had missed him. The way Aarne could dive around with antlers on and not put out an eye was impressive though.

To Dee, that part made sense, since he lived somewhat far away. Minoru always said his family was from Seattle. (Jay knew where the twins really lived, and he had yet to spill those beans.)

Still, he snickered. "I guess I just figured someone related to Minoru would have been able to dodge that..."

Rekker started to laugh. "No, he's a nerd." Rekker got a big grin. "Tom told me that Isamu did that..." Rekker motioned at the tackle hugging. ".. by indulging Aarne's scientific curiosity and now, Aarne is Aarne. He likes you and now you're stuck with him."

"Aarne must have been really fucking curious! Damn..." Dee laughed even harder as Aarne lifted his buddy off the ground and back up to his feet. Isamu looked both happy and flustered as he smoothed out his costume. Ivar wasn't too far away, holding onto the light-up umbrella so it didn't get crushed by the partygoers.

Rekker shrugged. "Aarne is curious about everything. A few of them are and smarter than most people think."

It was often a misconception of musicians, especially the pretty ones, or in Aarne's case the extremely drunken ones. "Aarne carries people around too. I'm surprised he hasn't dragged you into one of his schemes yet."

Dee wasn't insinuating that Aarne wasn't the curious type or couldn't be interested in science. Just that whatever they bonded over must have been impressive, because that was quite a greeting.

"He's given me plenty of piggy back rides... but I don't think that counts."

"If Tom or Robert hasn't come out yelling 'What the bloody hell' it probably doesn't count." Rekker wasn't always up for the chaos but he found great pleasure in watching the other, older musicians have meltdowns over whatever was going on. He was sometimes the silent encourager of some scheme or another.

"You should. Between Aarne and Joe and the all the babies there's plenty of chaos to get involved in."

There was plenty of chaos to get involved in, but on the other hand...

"I'm still waiting on everyone to officially clear me for the European leg of the tour... the last thing I want to hear from Tom is What the bloody hell."

Rekker shrugged. "If they haven't been thrown off the tour yet you should be fine."

"What's the worst thing they've done?"

And was it better or worse than nearly causing the entire security team to pull out? He didn't say that part out loud, but was definitely thinking it.

"Worst?" Rekker's mind reeled with what he had seen and heard about. "Fuck if I know. Half NY PD chasing them down the highway, flooding an entire hotel with bubbles, Getting arrested... Viktor and Vars and their arson all the time, shutting down half of LA's strip... Ollie and I in a police chase through the desert... Joe climbing a skyscraper in New York high as a kite.. Damien pulling a gun on a whole gang of guys in Times Square.."

There was so much.

"He pulled a..." Dee started to shout, but then quieted his voice. "...he pulled a gun in Times Square?!"

The look on his face was a mix of, 'And I'M the one walking around on eggshells' and 'okay, maybe I still should, at least when Damien's in a bad mood...' and 'holy shit, everyone's done some crazy shit.'

"That huge .50 caliber Revolver he carries." Which might not mean much but Dee may have seen the Dog wearing it around at times.

"To be fair to him.. the guys did grab Zack by the hair. I can't say I'd be any less furious if someone did that to Bjorn." Of course, Bjorn would fight back too. Rekker wasn't sure the shy drummer would or not. "I think he pulled it on some guys that went after Mikkel and Fredrik too."

"Okay... so it wasn't without reason..." he rationalized. Though, still hoping he never met the business end of that revolver. Or needed it used to defend him either, honestly.

"...so you think it's a done deal? Kuro will be on the European schedule?"

"He always has a reason for everything. Martyn told me how he behaves is common in the military sometimes."

Rekker had found the perspective his brother had on Damien to be interesting.

"You're still getting scheduled for shows." Rekker thought that was a good sign.

"The Canadian dates are a go." Dee confirmed with an excited smile. "And they did technically take me to Europe once."

He still couldn't believe he got to perform live on the same stage as The Spiders, and at the Paralympics, of all places!!

"I think you'll be fine." Rekker encouraged. "Tom has to keep people in line. If the rest of these crazy fuckers are still around you should be fine."
