Happy Halloween! [Hyvää pyhäinpäivää!]

Time to party! Niko is happy it's finally Halloween and he's put on a party at Jake's house for everyone to attend, decking out Jake's apartment in Halloween decorations, making it even more gothic and spooky than usual. Why not have a party at a vampire's house while travelling on tour? It would be fun. Niko had help from some of the other musicians and wanted to surprise Jake with his special costume which he got from a decent store. The Finn dressed in a rather fetching Viking wolf costume which he hoped Jake would like.

There is party food, drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, cakes, sweets and small trick or treat bags for people to take away food if they wanted back to the tour buses.

"Hyvää pyhäinpäivää!"

That translated into "Happy Halloween for the non Finnish speakers.

"Happy Halloween!"

Traditionally, Niko's country celebrated All Saint's Day by lighting candles and remembering the dead that way. Yet, he was here in America and wanted to join in with the customs of many of the others, including dressing up and having a party. As well as food, drink and costumes there is also pumpkin carving available outside the apartment with the pumpkins lined up for people to have a go at.

"Everyone is free to have food, booze, carve pumpkins, party and have fun!"

He had heard that Bjorn had hosted the last Halloween party in LA and this one would be even better, now that there were more people.

Rekker was red in the cheeks from laughter. "Jay likes them? I agree, Bjorn looks good in a corset too. Robert can't stand being put in costumes or any of it and Erik is obsessed with it."

He just shook his head at the oldest Sterling. "With Martyn, he pretends to be this prim and proper doctor and I know he gets into all the wild stuff Tordis is into, but won't admit it."

Dee snickered as he watched the scene play out.

"Well, he might just like ME in them... Putting one on him didn't have anywhere near the same reaction."

They'd tried it, but despite Dee's best efforts, he just didn't have the strength to cinch a corset. It wasn't nearly as fun for either of them.

"...Martyn's into all that? Really?" He glanced back at Rekker with surprise. "I never would have guessed."

"I wouldn't want a corset." Rekker snorted a laugh at that and hoped Bjorn never got that idea in his head.

"I didn't either. You should hear Erik and Tordis when they're drunk. I've heard some things." Rekker thought it was hilarious. "Sex pillows and getting punished for being bad."

Rekker was back to giggling again. He found great pleasure in harassing his brothers.

"No?" Dee was still snickering. "Maybe Trygg just knows how to make a good one... but I didn't find it uncomfortable at all."

Honestly, even if he did, Jay's reaction still topped what was currently coming out of Erik and Tordis as they fawned over Robert and Martyn. So, that said a lot.

"Okay, so why Tom? Just collateral damage?"

"I'm not a feminine guy." Rekker mentioned and then rolled his eyes. "It would probably give me a panic attack even if I did want one."

Rekker had some sensory issues and the idea of something compressing his chest felt.. wrong.

"He agreed with them." So.. yes, collateral damage. "I wonder what his wife thinks of his uniform?"

Rekker had no idea. Maybe she like uniforms too.

Dee definitely wouldn't push the topic. He had more than his fair share of triggers. Restricted motion was something that could easily be problematic under the wrong circumstances.

"He met Aletayria while he was an astronaut, right? She must have taking a liking to him in uniform..." Dee mused.

Rekker paused for a long time because that was a complicated question that he had to be careful with.

"I think the first time she saw him he was on a mission." Rekker thought that was safe enough comment. "There's a difference between thinking someone looks nice in something and getting turned on by it because it's a fetish."

"All right, all right, I won't presume to judge..." he lifted his hands up. "Especially not our tour manager's wife."

No sense opening a can of worms like that. Even though he had absolutely no idea the kind of extraterrestrial worms that were sitting in that particular (tin) can.

Rekker had no qualms about harassing Tom though.

"If anything, I'd think they have a kink for intelligence." Rekker pondered that and decided not to drag Ivar into this mess. He had a firm belief that drummer had a kink for intelligence too. A couple others as well, maybe.

"I could believe that." He agreed, sipping again on the mocktail. It was really good.

Ivar had slept with Isamu. More than once. That boy had to have a kink for brains. And speaking of Isamu, he was wandering around somewhere under an umbrella draped with little LED lights and strips of crepe paper, having come as an aequorea victoria.

Rekker had a lot of practice making non-alcoholic drinks and could replicate most common cocktails at this point. He was about to speak and then heard the screaming. However, he knew it wasn't Bjorn, not high pitched enough. However, he looked over to see Isamu getting a near tackle hug from Aarne. That was Isamu's fault for not visiting for so long.

"The crazy is arriving." Rekker started to laugh. "Have you met everyone?"

Dee looked over at the high-pitched squeal.

"I thought I did... but I saw Minoru already. He said for the last week he was coming dressed as one of us." By which he meant a rock star - but with his wild hair, he looked exactly like Aarne, and Aarne only helped make that happen. "So, who's that?"

"Who is who?" Rekker looked around at the busy room and then wondered if Dee had somehow been spared meeting Aarne and Joe. That felt unreasonable but then, Dee was calm. Maybe he avoided it.

Dee pointed as a jellyfish umbrella went flying over people's heads. "The one Aarne just tackled to the ground in a massive hug."

"Oh, that's Minoru's twin." Rekker thought it was funny how he got tackled. "He hasn't been around for awhile."

And obviously the Finn had missed him. The way Aarne could dive around with antlers on and not put out an eye was impressive though.

To Dee, that part made sense, since he lived somewhat far away. Minoru always said his family was from Seattle. (Jay knew where the twins really lived, and he had yet to spill those beans.)

Still, he snickered. "I guess I just figured someone related to Minoru would have been able to dodge that..."

Rekker started to laugh. "No, he's a nerd." Rekker got a big grin. "Tom told me that Isamu did that..." Rekker motioned at the tackle hugging. ".. by indulging Aarne's scientific curiosity and now, Aarne is Aarne. He likes you and now you're stuck with him."

"Aarne must have been really fucking curious! Damn..." Dee laughed even harder as Aarne lifted his buddy off the ground and back up to his feet. Isamu looked both happy and flustered as he smoothed out his costume. Ivar wasn't too far away, holding onto the light-up umbrella so it didn't get crushed by the partygoers.

Rekker shrugged. "Aarne is curious about everything. A few of them are and smarter than most people think."

It was often a misconception of musicians, especially the pretty ones, or in Aarne's case the extremely drunken ones. "Aarne carries people around too. I'm surprised he hasn't dragged you into one of his schemes yet."

Dee wasn't insinuating that Aarne wasn't the curious type or couldn't be interested in science. Just that whatever they bonded over must have been impressive, because that was quite a greeting.

"He's given me plenty of piggy back rides... but I don't think that counts."

"If Tom or Robert hasn't come out yelling 'What the bloody hell' it probably doesn't count." Rekker wasn't always up for the chaos but he found great pleasure in watching the other, older musicians have meltdowns over whatever was going on. He was sometimes the silent encourager of some scheme or another.

"You should. Between Aarne and Joe and the all the babies there's plenty of chaos to get involved in."

There was plenty of chaos to get involved in, but on the other hand...

"I'm still waiting on everyone to officially clear me for the European leg of the tour... the last thing I want to hear from Tom is What the bloody hell."

Rekker shrugged. "If they haven't been thrown off the tour yet you should be fine."

"What's the worst thing they've done?"

And was it better or worse than nearly causing the entire security team to pull out? He didn't say that part out loud, but was definitely thinking it.

"Worst?" Rekker's mind reeled with what he had seen and heard about. "Fuck if I know. Half NY PD chasing them down the highway, flooding an entire hotel with bubbles, Getting arrested... Viktor and Vars and their arson all the time, shutting down half of LA's strip... Ollie and I in a police chase through the desert... Joe climbing a skyscraper in New York high as a kite.. Damien pulling a gun on a whole gang of guys in Times Square.."
